Goddamit inky. I will forever believe you just crap money.
I've always wanted to buy these but they're so damn expensive. Especially the "designer" ones.

Lol..I had to give myself something for working 8 days in a row + some 16 hour shifts
I made my budget on furniture + decorations for the new apartment and this one's in it

And yes, they are a bit pricey...I'm looking for a few 8" dunnys right now but no more after that, I hope.

Gah..expensive stuff. I'm seriously considering purchasing the Night series (black) 8" Dunny. Most of them are going for around $200 a piece though but I'll buy necessities first then that...but still, it's tempting.
Posters: $100 on release. $300+ each on resale market.
8" Dunny:
$200 per piece.

This one I'm not planning on getting...way too much.

lol ditto.
Btw, if you like Metal Gear, steampunk, or mecha bots you might enjoy the thought of owning one of these guys. Ashley Wood is the guy who did the artwork for some Metal Gear graphic novels.

Girlfriend and I are considering pre-ordering one of these babies for 2012 Q1. For a decently large model, it goes for $70.

That's true. Some people display them on shelves with little regard about presentation - especially collectors with hundreds of 3" Dunnys and a couple of 8" ones lined up on top of a few shelves. I don't know about other people but at least I'm selective with what I get. For now, I have a few vinyl figures boxed and stored until I move to the new apt in March.

Picking up the Raku Night Dunny (red) from an ebay seller this Wednesday. Got it for a decent price from a top-rated seller, plus, I get to inspect the product in person before I pay for it. XD

I picked up the Huck Gee Raku Dunny and holy shit, it's worth every penny! It's !@#$%$^%@$%# beautiful!
Lol that Kid Dragon is really not my cup of tea. That and it's waaaaayyy too big. They're selling a 20-inch Kronk "Killjoy" Dunny for $400. I saw it on display. Glossy as **** and so tempting to buy but once again, way too big.
I'm currently looking around for Erick Scarecrow's Soopa Maria (Shiro, Warhol, or Sandbox). It would be nice to have the Steampunk one-off edition but that's an exclusive and would probably cost thousands of dollars.

Art toys.. What are they made of ?

Most common ones are vinyl but you also get some made of resin, metal, or wood. Plush toys are also quite common although I never really got into that. Takashi Murakami has a sunflower plush pillow that goes for $400 and it's fucking ugly.

Not as of lately but I am keeping an eye out for specific ones. Unlike most collectors, I don't intend to spam my place with hundreds of mini figures and dozens of large ones. I like to keep the number small and focus on the nice pieces that caught my attention.
...lulz.
