Welcome
Not bad for a first attempt. If it's your first time using PS/GIMP, then the first few attempts are mainly to familiarize yourself with the process. Although it is considered to be a very cliche sig design, I would recommend playing around with C4D/Renders in Color Dodge piled on top/behind your focal point. They're excellent for experimenting and getting a good feel of what you can do with photo editing programs.

Im using PS/CS5. Still learning the basics.
I came across some tuts with C4Ds and clipping masks etc, but i'm not quite at that level to understand how to use them properly.
But i'll keep at it

It's been a while, haven't had any time to do anything in PS since my first post.
So, here's something new.

It looks nice but try changing your style a bit. Over sharpening everything is getting redundant. KIU.

Yep, don't sharpen your background too much. Keep it sharpened less than your focal.

Okay, here's another. Kinda hard to break out the same style when trying to learn everything. I've tried C4Ds, but don't like the outcomes so far.. i'll try focus more on that.

The left painterly splatter really adds to the whole piece. It's just a bit empty effect-wise. What that splatter from a normal splatter pack or is it called a specific style? I want.
