Hell even tips and tricks would be nice. I'm just trying to pick up 3d modeling with my spare time. inb4 did I really spend $3500. Student license.

Or if anyone of you guys have knowledge of it let me know so I can start asking a bunch of questions if you don't mind. In the meantime

I'm just messing around with it trying to get the hang of it. A small goal of mine is just to make a couple Team Fortress 2 hats before I start anything big. I'm not really into making animations, but I suppose later on I will.

I started out with basic polygon editing from basic shapes without tamper/etc effects while attempting to make complete scenes and improving from there step by step in effects, quality, and efficiency

Wish I could help but I know next to nothing about 3D.

Actually the reason why I didn't use the cube for the final render is because it looked bad and I wanted to get it done so I just used a sphere

I haven't bothered much with 3ds max recently but uhh how do you get the vetercies to uhh snap out

Like _| instead of _/ if you understand what I mean

And how can you make a current element into 2 different elements.

Googling fails me.

Are you looking for the extruding modifier?
