Finsihed product. Thoughts?

Image

Also, I tried to create depth. Did I do it properly?

_________

Still thinking of something to make it standout more.

v1: Image - vibrance -100 and saturation +100

v2: Image - vibrance +100 and saturation +0

v3: Image - removed brightness and sharpen

Look at the render, think up shit on how it makes you feel and what it makes you think about.
Then transfer that into the canvas.

The render is great and I can see a variety of things to do with it.
Compliment the colors of the render, or use them in the sig.

I like the background you have going, looks desert-y.
Nice smudging too, haven't seen much soft smudge lately.

The colors really don't go with the render, but that's just me. Think I'd add some small particules (C4Ds or some kind of "dissipate").

Well, what about a much darker clouds color?
Otherwise it looks great!

Originally I wanted to send an image that the render was swooping down and clouds of dust or something of the sort formed around him.

Edit: I also wanted to give a pop-out feature but blurring the background looks dull.

Are you crazy? Excuse me!!!! but learn color theory, man. You don't see a red ball on some sand and think, "Wow effortless creation of the universe, you have a bad concept of color combinations."

I'm being a bit harsher than usual, but I feel like you are just saying that just to say it. :l

And Panu, you could've added some more effects, some prominent effects.

And, take out the text, it ruins it.

Definitely agree that taking text out is a great idea. I like it but it needs to be slightly...darker. I like the whole idea of the sand/desert but I feel like you need that cape to flare more. Maybe reduce the cloud/fog on top of it and make it less obscured (Don't remove it completely though).

Added 3 more versions. I tried to removed the fog at the top of the cape but it doesn't want to go :soosad:

I believe in sig making, the brightness/contrast and all that aren't really that important.
A shitty sig with brightness turned up, is still a shitty sig.

Your sig needs more effects imo, but if you aren't going to take my advice on that, then atleast take into consideration leaving it at a single version. Making multiple versions with slight adjustments to the Contrast don't really need to be shown.

In the words of the almighty and well-known Hostage,"Learn some self-critique."

So you think I'm a novice?

I've stared at this dumb pos for hours and nothing seemed to give that flow the way I wanted. The fact I have multiple version was to certain replies I received. You asked me to give outstanding effects, blackfox asked to see a darker side. The point of a version is to see multiple sides of whatever you want to show.

Just to make you happy, I'm going to sit at my computer for couple for hours and stared at the monitor while nothing gets done. Thanks for the critique.

edit: It's the morning :palm: .

another edit: Meh. I'm happy with the outcome, even though it isn't something awesome. Thanks for the help but I'm moving onto another piece.

No, I really meant it. The colors really don't match. As some have stated, they should be a bit darker. Now in his V3, it's much better because the colors are actually similar to the render.

And just to make a reply like yours, the fact you don't see that the initial colors don't match the render is beyond me. "Go learn color theory", yeah thanks.

At Panu : V3 is the best so far.

^agree with that, try sharpening part of the render though, just the focal part in front of the smoke

Color combos aren't all just "pick a color and go exact opposite" there are multiple combinations for colors. The colors are fine in the first one, darkening it doesn't really make them match more. Generally, the red and tan/brown does make a nice combo, and are far from "not going with the render."

The colors are best in the first, spoilered version imo.
