Guys i need your help for a sec

a couple of days ago i tried openin my CS 4 and i couldnt si i had to unisntall it, so i though "why not gettin CS 5 alrady?" so i DL'd it and installed and my color palette was sorta fcked up, i couldnt use grey, instead was a soft brown between white and black, its weird... so i tried many things, none worked, every shadow was like brown and not grey, or "black and white" pics were "brown and white", it was weird, so i said "fck it" and i uninstalled CS5 and went back to CS 4, but now i got the same prob here too!

do u guys know what it is?
could it be the format of the colors? like RGB, or LAB or any other.. plz tell me what format u mostly use!

i trully need my colors back =(

Your monitor is fked up.
You need to calibrate it. I can't think of why else.

Might be similar to a problem I had where every color was gray. When you open a new project, make sure it says "RGB" near the bottom of the window.

ok here u can see that i have no grey, BUT, i can do shadows now and stuff (like black and white, and decrease saturation sucessfully), wich is weird.

i settled it up on RGB 8bits so i can save in .jpg format, the rest wont allow me to save as JPG, I still find this weird.
Spoiler!

Google "Monitor Calibration"
If that doesn't solve it then, idk.

It's not the monitor, the PS background is grey not brown.
