it's nice...but...a little simple...
I feel like it the left side should have been a tiny bit darker =/
I dont mind simplicity but...dunno... it feels unfinished.

he looks like a douche. :)

But good piece, so simple, so effective! 9/10, cuz the blue stuff reminds me of watching smoke from a cigarette and seems misplaced.

Sorry, but you can do better than that.

I would have to agree with poe. Although I'm all for simplicity and subtle effects, I would have to be honest with you on this one - I've seen better work from you.

The entire thing just seems a little bit too flat (probably since the background was too blurred out for such a small piece), the effects aren't really that impressive, and the faded C4Ds on the right side seem out-of-place (almost as if you forgot to completely erase them). I guess it would look better if it was actually an entire picture rather than a sig but this one really doesn't appeal to me.

Sorry =(

I really like the idea and what you tried to do here. But I can promise you the tag will look x100 better if you add depth to it. Instead of blurring the whole background. Make several copies of the background with a different level of blur on it. Then erase some parts to create some depth. Doing so will also make the C4D not look like it's on some kind of window. Hope I made sense.

Holy shit! Good tip!

The sig does lack depth and could stand to be a bit darker. Good comp though.

If you want a smoother transition, you could do a strong blur (on a merged layer above original) and just erase the parts you want to be "pop out" with a transparent brush (clouds) on 10%-20% opacity. Erase as you see fit. Plus, it's less work.

Bottom line is, flat blurred images should be reserved for certain wedding photos. Not a huge fan of them. =p

The stock has a blurred bg, but yeah :p. I haven't been active with ps in last few months, so thanks for the words of advice. I'll try to incorporate the tips into my next few works, and hopefully I can get my lost touch back. :yay:

I don't really see how blurring anymore would help in this case but what I would recommend, if you haven't already, is to render him out which will allow you to add 'heavier' effects directly behind and over flowing him which in turn would help bring him even closer to foreground. Personally I think that's all the tag really needs--to put more focus on him as the focal because at the moment my eyes are drawn to center of the tag but there isn't much there to keep me interested.

I do love you bringing back your older style...it was something I could never mimic even after studying your layers when we did that daft punk collab xD. You're like a schizo.

Ugh and at first I had this going:

but then I settled for the simpler/cleaner version. I don't know which is better/worse, but I preffered the cleaner one so I went with it.
EDIT: Searching for stocks atm, going to try to pump out some more tags this week.

That pentooling would be sick on a bigger sig and a full body focal.

Also, with sigs, I try to avoid a head as a focal. When it's just a head, it doesn't add flow or atmosphere.

I really do love the old tag you have on top of your sig.

It's beautiful <3
