Well...its a game magazine cover. It conforms. Doesn't dare to challenge much of anything. That being said I can't really see much wrong. The outline of X-Box is a bit lack luster.
I've always viewed game magazine covers to be a bit ADD, if that makes any sense... I prefer Wired style covers.
Spoiler!

Thanks for the feedback, i made this poster fom what i did on the cover, with some further editing on the stock itself to raise quality, i also reduced sharpness and the text is a little more fluid now imo, overall i think simplified it serves better as a poster, than the magazine cover.
And my fave covers would be digit, computer arts and mostly all digital design covers, more experimental than gaming.

for the first sight it's cool i liked how you put xbox 360 behind the character but the text quality is very low and the brotherhood word on AC's cahracter doesn't feel good too and it can look better if you put some blocks in the black area down there with the cloning stamp tool.

I like the first cover but yes, it's too sharp.
Kinda Off Topic:
Code: Select all
Anyone else thinks the new team behind DMC are a bunch of retarded fucks? Whether they went completely nuts and just redesigned the old Dante regardless of DMC 1-4, or that's some kind of Dante clone, or it's actually Sparda - it still looks like a stick-wielding dike.
I've been reading stuff about the new man behind it wanted the protagonist to resemble him, thus, the gender-confused look.
I'm surprised they didn't pump him with steroids like they did with Resident Evil 5 when they said they're going to add a "Western touch" to it.

I wouldn't be surprised if i was picking that up in a magazine shop sometime in the future. Awesome design.
