So we've finally made it to the semi's and as you all know it's the round where everyone produces a LP. The theme the generated has chosen is 'Destruction'. Due Date: Wednesday, November 3rd 12:00am
How this works. How it works is simple. Each category is numbered from 1-4 and each of there respective themes are numbered in order from which they were listed; the generator is then "rolled" twice to produce the two numbers that will define your battle. The first number representing which category you've fallen under and the second for which theme you will be restricted to. Categories:

However there are not three wildcards per round, just the three for the whole competition. Which means that all spots could be taken up now or there could be a spot left until the semi-finals and potentially a replacement battler who has forced their way in, it all depends on the voting.
Now as far the power of the wildcard itself goes aside from bringing you into the the action mid game it allows you the option of who you would like to challenge. Meaning you will be battling that individual for their spot/category/theme/opponent of course this would mean that all other battles would be put on a stand still until a wildcard battle is/are settled (3 days, 2 day(s) to create 1 day voting.)
Proposing a simple tourney style battle royal with any members who wants to participate.
Example. Just randomly picked members from the abstract thread to make this example
How I imagine it to work:
Assign all members who want to participate from one to how ever many participants we have. Also assign a selected amount of themes with numbers as well. Use http://www.random.org/
Alright once everyone has their numbers and all the themes are assigned numbers we'll begin pairing off battles and the theme of their battle via random.org until everyone is picked. Now the first few rounds are simple two on two battles and judged just like how sig wars used to be. You have a set time period and within that time period complete you tag/lp/logo/etc(whatever the theme may be) we'll do this until we're left with four. These four will at first have a battle like they normally already have only difference being is this time the two losers will also have a battle between them sending three participants to the semi finals instead of only two.
In the semi-finals the game is a little different. You are all to do three separate LP's and will be judged by the past participants only (so we won't make it a poll this time around just have the members post there vote) and the ones to move on to the finals would be the two participants that ranked first and second in the voting.
This should satisfy those who have been talking about the activity in AC lately. That is if people are willing to participate, hell!, I'm not even sure I want to.
...and I don't know what the prize would be..a muffin a suppose but only the bottom because I ate the top!

I´m up for this! Sounds like fun, and like it´ll bring a lot of vibe back in to the AC. Just look at the responses in the Team thread, and what that brought up.

That is if people are willing to participate, hell!, I'm not even sure I want to.
No one likes to be tied down and forced into a commitment.

I'm in but I think LPs is a bit too hard....for me
I think what will determine the success or failure of this event is the set period to make sigs. Too long and people will start forgetting about it, too short people won't have time (Sept/School comming).

You know I never really payed much attention to this before but...SM-Count...Shadowman20818. It hit me like a ton of bricks last night as I pried through old threads but I'm sure it's purely coincidental. I'm always late to the part. =(
Anyway, I'm always open to suggestion if you want to lay out a few basic idea on how you feel it would work better go right on ahead, the smoother this runs the longer it will last I would imagine.
@Ex I was under the impression that a week would be more than efficient. It gives people like me who are usually tied down with projects from work to slowly peck at it over the week and then complete it over the weekend. Again if every just posted their availability we can work something out. Panu, this is more important than any form of education you'd be receiving so I expect you to be there.
Umm, last thought. Yeah I'm sure I could think of way to make this work for team battles as well if you folks are interested in bringing those back.

Nothing I'm still doing it I've just been a little busy with packing lately. I guess these are all the participants we're going to have so I'll Pm everyone there number and have themes picked by tomorrow. I'll create/post the new tourny tree as well.

Yeah, of course there's still time.
Uhhhh, no one really apposed it when I said it earlier so I think the time frame is settled to a week per round. So now we have 15 people in this and I'll try convincing Fug into participating as well so we can have a nice even number. Will sit down and update my first post after a bit of eating and cleaning.
