hmm this is the logo i have for my site, any critique on how to improve it?

Imo a logo should be something original.
Either way you should either take out the text or the guy's head, one or the other.

I say change the font weight so they're the same. I took a look at the site btw and it has a modern, simplistic feel. So in that case remove the guy's head ASAP.
Change the font to something like Helvetica or Futura.
Also a logo can be text or it can be an image (The simpler the better).
For instance my logo (avatar) - which was supposed to be phoenix, I plan on changing it - But I made it for the moniker "Revival", hence the so called phoenix and the use of negative space to create an arrow pointing upward.
So you could try to express a Last Hope through an image.

Logo's should be a .png with a transparent background. That looks like a signature. A shitty one at that.

Change the weight of the text so they're the same.
Remove the gradient; move and scale the arrow down the left of the "L"

I think a heavier weighted font would be better as well as a darker red. One less triangle as well. Three looks like overkill.

Keep the triangles how they were just two of them.
Another thing I would do is make the triangles the same size, doesn't matter tho.

What do two red arrows have to go with last hope?
It looks like you wrote Last Hope and used the polygonal selection tool?
1st one is text, without AA, on a low opacity cut out.
Sorry, not a fan of any of them.

lol @ Strago.
I personally dont know Shomari but I know his work, and I'll tell you his work is by far one of the best I've seen. To those who have touched photoshop, Shomari knows what he is talking about. Theres no need to waltz in claim to know art, knowing design, flow and even the works of logos comes with time, not by a simple post count.

lol.. you don't know anything about logo's... you may have a symbol you like to use.. like i like to use a Decadentia R in my tags to symbolize Renzo.. but as a logo.. simplicity is key
