Pretty G, just don't like the left where it get's dark, kinda shifts the color etc.
It's very cool though, love the effects and stock.

The left part of the render is confusing, the rest is awesome.

This is a rare case where I'll say it could use more effects.
I'd say give it a nice black horizontal edges and have mercer sticking out from them. then I suppose you could turn the orange-ish glows to red and maybe add some slight glowlines to the arms. I'm not sure I very much like the background either =/... looks too much like 18th century London, doesn't quite fit with the rest of it D:

1st is way better. For some reason beginers think that the higher contrast is the more cooler it looks. Anyways +1 for efforts

I agree with NS.
First is WAY better.
The high contrast looks ugly

Ok

can agree on the contrast, it crossed my mind as well. perhaps I'll make one with lower contrast tomorrow.
twas kind of a fluke anyway. I was just checking some stuff out and I thought "hey that doesn't look to bad

"

Lower contrast versions
definitely looks better, or at least less painful to the eye...
without colour filter:

w/ colour filter:

Less bright version w/ photo filter:

come on, I want some opinions!
So far I've heard that the contrast is too high. I fixed that.
What's so bad about it now!?
No matter how I look at it, it seems 12.4x better than the original. But I can't trust my own insight when it's my own creation D:
What's good and What's bad??

I mean I am not the best PS'er obviously, but I like the first one.
The bottom two look under-waterish.
My favorite of ALL is the original Black and White, and the original lol.
I think this new one without color filter is pretty nice, just too contrasty.

What we like more about EV's version is that there is more eye candy, more complex effects, small lights and everything. In your version, the effects are replaced by some soft, not very detailed smudge. As well as you added some borders after which the render is added which makes it look weird. And you say 'aw my eyes hurt' on much most of the tags you see, yet you made an overcontrasted version. >_> Sorry guy, the original version is just much better. B/W for me.
