Back to Photoshop

Yes, I decided to give another go at Photoshop, some months ago I was really into it but during summer I lost my interest, but now I feel inspired and since there's not much I can do on my computer...

Well, I forgot so much that I had to follow a very detailed and simple tutorial, but I'm starting to remember some things like flow and stuff like that.

So here are a couple examples of my old (not that good) pieces:

And here's the piece I just made by following said tutorial, it's very basic but I think it's actually nice for a come-back:

So, comment, tell me where I failed, you know, the usual stuff. I'll try to keep 'em coming.

I suggest to start with tutorials. You failed at text, and composition and depht. Good Luck

If you've already done it before, there's no need to follow the tutorials. Just open an old PSD with all the layers from the tutorials intact and look at it as a cheat sheet. I would suggest downloading a few fresh sets of brushes, playing around with distort/brushstrokes, or whatever it is you get that mouse pointer on. Experiment.

Also, I would suggest spending more time on the text. If it helps you get some ideas, you can do a quick browse through other people's sigs on dA or some gfx forums.

The most important part of making sigs is that you have fun doing it.

Your most recent sig lacks compo, it has sorta a double focal because the text is right above the arm and it forces you to look at the arm.

I'm sure the face is supposed to be the focal =P Try choosing a better render ( I don't think this one works well with flow)

Congrats on getting bak into PS =]
