KIU those are some great shots. Did you take these with digital or film? The BW have good composition but poor contrast. I would mess with the light settings a little and make sure you take about 5-6 different shots with different ap and shutter speeds. BW photography is sooooo tricky, but if you get a good exposure nothing else gets close

I think you should axe the date stamp also...it's very distracting.

yah forgot to turn of the time stamp, and Im just using a cheap Kodak C813 8.2 MP cam, but yah the BW is tricky I agree, and it is hard to get the right exposure, I have my camera modifed for shutter speed and such and I have a modified lens for it (it doenst support lens though) but its really cool, I'll go out and take some more, brb!
p.s. post some of ur pix too plz!

I work as a freelance photographer, usually portraits or portfolio's for starting models, as well as wedding photography.
It pays well, but I prefer landscape and macro photography.
Most of these are old work, my more recent work is on another computer without internet connection, and I can't be bothered to upload them.
I'm using a Canon EOS 450D and Olympus C-8080 Wide Zoom.

Awesome. I love shots of this particular style. I remember posting a few other mind blowing shots in a topic Priam made. Surprised you didn't mentioned your career and posted your work then.

I love RuYi's pics.
I too like to take Landscape photographs. Have done for quite a while. Recently bought a Sony A350 and striving to buy the A900.

I like this one best, the different textures make it interesting to look at.
It'd be even better if the contrast was like it shows on the forehead, more black/white rather than grey. Either way, keep it up if you like it. What camera do you use?
@CrimsonNuker: I love taking photo's of such alleys. When I visited Belgium last year, I took a whole shoot just of alleys, it's so interesting to see. :)
@Snoopy: A colleague of mine has a Sony A350, he loves it.
@Hostage: I believe I mentioned it before, but I'm not sure. My father is a professional photographer, he used to do it full-time a while ago, he's extremely good at portraits of people. The love of photography, I guess I got it from him, although I was never interested in taking pictures of humans.
The Canon is newer and better, but I just love the Olympus, they have such great lenses. It pretty expensive though, neither of my camera's use the lenses they came with, I purchased new ones for both of them, and I still could use more equipment. When I got the most necessary upgrades for the Canon, I had to buy a new bag for it since the lenses took too much space to fit in the bag it came with.
I have been neglecting photography though, apart from a few shoots, I lacked time. It's been ages since I took photo's for fun, seeing other people's photo's made me realise how much I missed it.
I'd love to see more photo's from you guys.

I don't have a professional Camera, lol I use a Kodak C813 8.2 MP camera. If I ever get good like you I may consider something more professional like a Cannon or a Sony camera!

You're wrong there.
The photo I took, with the road covered in snow? I sold over 300 prints of that one.
From postcards to canvas. I took that photo with a simple Fujifilm Finepix A205S.
When I was younger, I once participated in a photography contest with a Sony DSC-F1. Everyone else had much better camera's.
I clearly recall people laughing at me when they saw mine.
It was the first and last time I ever participated in a contest, but I did manage to win the first place with "that shitty camera".
It's not the camera
But the one behind the camera
That makes the shot

Here are some shots by my brother.
What they are:
A kid at winterlude.
Highway 417 at night.
An abandoned building on an island between Ontario and Quebec.
His pet gecko resting on his spare lense.
A folded American $1 bill.
Smith & Wesson handcuffs.
The tomb of the unknown soldier outside the parliament buildings.

Only good photo I have from over a hundred, all taken from mountain hiking trips.
Too bad I forgot the camera last time.
My camera also sucks big time, so that's another handicap of mine, I have to resize these a lot.

Nope, it's the 417 highway just outside Ottawa. TO is over rated.

There are more but one is of a silkworm which isn't the best looking thing to photograph. Also, a couple with his girlfriend in them. Which for privacy reasons I won't post.
I am trying to find his girlfriends website. She is better than he is.

Nice pics Ru
I bought a Nikon FE2, 1983 camera with it's stock lens to replace my my Minolta XG-1 (which I dropped in a citronella candle on accident). They couldn't repair it

I like the gritty LQ feel of older cameras and real film. Plus, I can just borrow my parents canon when I want to. I don't have access to a dark room anymore, but when I did, my favorite thing to do was develop film and blow up my own pictures. Love the smell of the dark room chemicals also, so weird. I'll upload some pics later.

lol work makes you free thats cool
I started using my Dad's old Canon AE-1 (film) camera to take pics of sports events at school but one roll didn't turn out so that was the end of that. I got the D60 and have been enjoying it ever since. I wish it had live view but you cant win them all I guess. I would love to get a D700. Such a BA camera.
