Help with font sizing

When I was working on the poster from my other thread I made it 11 x 17 (specifications given to me), and I had the font on like 140-ish pt. The problem I'm having now is that when I'm working on anything else my PS fonts are huge. The font in my new sig is set on 2 pt whereas before it would have been roughly 18 pt. Does anyone know what I did? and how do I fix it?
It's not the resolution, I reset it.
