im making a sig for hellz and i need to change silver for lime but to keep the fading effect
any tips?

You can either:
Put a blank layer on top of it and grab a Green Soft Brush and set it to Soft Light or Overlay
Or
On the Layers Window goto Create New Fill or Adjustment Layer and goto Selective Layers

i tried using the layer thing but it doesnt work because i only want to add gree to the silver not the black

Easiest way;
Since you're trying to get rid of the silver and replace it with a green you need to go into neutral, drop the Magenta(Pink), cyan and increase the black and yellow.

- -Duplicate, if needed.
-Image>Adjustments>Selective Colour
- find settings best suited for you.
