Hey everyone, i want to know stuff about clipping masks, how they work, what they can be helpful for etc..
I tryed some tuts some time ago but i still don't get it O.o
any advices/good tuts about them?

So bored ATM.

rek used to be a clipping mask whore, ask him

basically, what you do is this.

1) make a new layer and put some shapes on it (pentool or selectiontool or some image you found)
2) make a layer on top of that with the image you want to appear on the shapes you made at point 1.
3) rightclick the layer with the image, and say "create clipping mask"
4) you'll see the image layer with a small arrow to the layer below it, the one with the shapes.
5) select the layer with the image, take the moving tool (press V) and move the image around a bit. you will notice it will only appear on the parts where you drew the shapes in 1.

play around a bit with that, it can add up to the flow a lot when you use clipping masks with a certain flow. it's best to first try it with making the image layer the image you're working on (new layer, image->apply image).
