Ok, so your render is sitting on top of background with no blending and no flow. This is pretty much where we all started :D What you're going to want to work on is lighting, blending, and flow. I would suggest you do Rizlas basic sig tut, check out Cin's pentool tut, and try a couple of the sig tuts in the Tutorial sticky. Do them MANY MANY times until you don't need to read the tut anymore. They will help you work on these issues and expand your ps skill set. Really, the only way to progress is to practice and do tuts, learn about ps. Good luck man :D

Any that you can find. Just that it teaches you to blend your character in better, the flow of the sig. At least for a start.
My first decent work was with the help of: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=93770

Try it, if ya can't work some part, just ask.

Better...keep practicing ;)

I did almost all the tuts in the sticky, but I started with Rizlas, Cins, Ol3ns first one and GeeDunks. They're excellent for getting familiar with ps.
