The background was entirely made using Photoshop. Used guides to measure out the same sections, then I would select them and fill them in. I used a leaf-brush and added a teensie bit of filtering to make the yellow/orange bars. The icons (obviously) are copied/pasted directly from the game. They are the exact size they appear in game as well (11x11 or 10x10, I can't recall). Getting them lined up was a pita at first, but I managed.
And the text was done there as well, with some random filters. I used a bit of a purple glow as well, to counter the glowies on the weapons.
The rest of it was done in openCanvas. For anyone who uses openCanvas (3.06E or higher), you can actually watch the entire thing (minus the part done in Photoshop of course), from beginning to end - it plays the entire painting.
Lots of fun...Just need to get the sig and avatar done now! (Then onto the Moogie-Dem piccie!)
