I think that taste that only comes with a price is pretty tasteless.

Is that a little backhand action I'm sensing? lol.

There's good things you can get for a small fee but in most cases, nice things always come with a price. I don't buy things because they're expensive, I buy them because I like them. The problem with the price tag comes after I find what I'm looking for. If others find it tasteless for its value alone, that's really not my problem.

Have insane digital copy ? Buy 1k crappy version that you aren't completely happy with; profit.

Btw I love those but lulz at paying any money for them. There are tons of people producing amazing work that you can enjoy on your pc for free.

Lol...so it turns out I did get the print for a bargain. Since this specific print only surfaces on ebay once or twice a year and the collectors on Expressobeans are more than reluctant to sell theirs for less than $1500, the other copy was sold for $1450 4 days after I got mine for $850. I suppose I got lucky XD

Yep. Very. And I'm glad the frame I picked this time is nearly half the price of the previous one. I'm hoping to get a call from him today but either way, I plan on dropping my cousin's Rhys Cooper piece at his shop later.

It looks a lot more amazing in person. Getting it featured soon along with the Rhys Cooper Oldboy print, after I get it back. :D

I'm currently bidding on a limited ed. print of this:
http://www.amysol.com/blog/?p=1744

Doing some penny pinching though since I'm also looking to get a Shepard Fairey and Brian Viveros print in the future.

I thought it was just an action film at first but after the first 15 minutes, I was convinced it is a bit more than that.

The original version is still for sale from that gallery. However, the Korean text variant was sold out for a while now but you can still get them - if you're persistent - from private collectors who are willing to sell their copy.

Really want to get this Olly Moss print badly. But the Green Japanese variant cost so much on ebay :soosad:

Got it in the mail this week. Amy Sol's "Forest Cradle" ..I wasn't really crazy about the work itself but $20 for a limited (to 100 copies) Amy Sol print isn't a bad deal at all.

Looks nice, gonna buy another extravagant frame?

Where do you hang these things anyway? I always find images with humans very awkward when hung in visible places. Any paintings we have at home are images of towns or farmlands and whatnot.

@poe: Not yet. I'm actually just stocking up on my collection for now -- sculptures/figures and prints. I had to spend over $3k last month on an emergency leave from work (plus unpaid hours).

Oh..and I just bought this tonight for the girlfriend:
Image
http://laminate.bigcartel.com/product/j ... te-pendant

Not really an art print but it's a limited edition pendant (100 pcs) made by the artist, Jason Limon so it does sort of count. And it comes with a CoA.

@BlackFox:
Lol..doesn't look too bad huh? Well, there's a reason why it's often called "lowbrow" art. Some people get it and they like it, most people don't.

Lol that's fine. I know it's not for everyone. There are million-dollar abstract paintings that I consider to be nothing but garbage aside from the ridiculous monetary value.
