First real attempt at a signature in awhile. Super Simple. C&C always welcome.
-also a first attempt at doing any smudging what-so-ever, think I did pretty decent. clipping masks here and there.
(she's looking at a boot, and hopefully AltaVista Babel is correct saying "chaussure" is the french translation for "shoe".)
v1.o Here's the stock image, uncut and uncropped.
[b]...and v2.o Darkened the txt, took out the clipping mask covering the sole of the boot, and lightened it a bit. Probably not enough fixes, but I really liked the outcome of the sig myself. I'm *trying* to work on another. Not getting very far though, lol.

personally i really like what you did to the boot, and i think it would look great as a full sig.
First things first it needs a border, though I'm not of the opinion all sigs need them, this one does. Just something simple is fine, not to mention usually better, but it needs something to hold it all in. Especially since it's so small.
Also, i would take of the clipping mask that's covering most of the toe-ish section of the boot. It makes it much to hard to tell what it is, I'm sure it wouldn't have been able to if i didn't speak French. Oh and BTW, yes chaussure is shoe, Altavista is usually fine for single words.
Overall i like it, maybe a little bit more could be done around the girl and the empty blue, but not too much. Text maybe a little bit darker. A little too hard to read for my tastes.
6.5/10 maybe a 7.5/10 if i wasn't a little sick of light blue ATM (I've had to do a lot of work with it lately)
EDIT: Oh, i just noticed you're name there, that has to be more defined, I'd suggest to shrink all the text a bit, but make it a bit thicker IMHO.
"Everybody defamates from miles away,But face to face, they haven't got a thing to say!" -Slipknot no longer really playing, hopeing to get back on to a private server of some sort.

It was a boot? I thought it was a fish or something lol
I like the concept. I like the flow from the shoe. But from there it goes downhill to me. She's not blended in, don't like the text, brushing on her face/hair doesn't flow at all, it doesn't look "complete."
I actually think it looks quite nice.
I only have two quick complaints / critiques:
1. Perhaps you could make it a little bigger? Even for me (and I love small Sigs), I think yours is a tad too small. It's just my personal opinion that it'd look better if it was a little bigger, is all. Maybe at HOLLA's size.
2. Like 1211 pointed out, I think the boot is a little too bright - so much so that, like other people said, I had trouble telling it was a boot until I actually saw the stock.
Other than that, I think you picked a good stock to work with. Love the colors, as well as most of the effects you did.
You should hang with us some more over here, Elika!
