I'm not a fan of that style. Never have been. I could be wrong but it looks like you went a little overboard with the smudge tool. Anyways, not feeling it, sorry.

I think the beauty of SRO sig is characters with colorful and beautiful garments (yes, garments not armor :P ) in front of somewhat blurry ancient chinese fantasy based background.

The key to it is the color i think.

with such a monotonoe sig it doesn't "feel" SRO.

i actually think the armor in this one is great as a focal. if treated right, this one could really do well. i'm not a fan of pop-out sigs though, and the fact that this one pops out in two different directions AND has indistinct borders at both the top and bottom makes me shiver a bit :)

keep him contained in the sig. make him a PART of it, not just sitting on top of it.
