If you're gonna make quality sigs, stick to photoshop, otherwise, if you dont want to buy it, get GIMP. It's the next best thing next to PS.

the tut you are currently doing is too advanced for you.

You need to stick to the basics.

Currently I have too many things on my plate to assist you further.

Oh my bad. I thought you meant the program, PhotoFiltre itself. Anyways, Rizla is right. Basics first then towards the more complicated stuff. Anyways, just go to Layer -> Adjustment Layer -> Photo Filter in case you need it.
