Well I think some people have trouble making signatures and stuff because they do not have the right things to make it with. A brush set can usually make or break your signature (if you are brushing). So here are some things that may be useful for some people.

Photoshop Brushes
deviantART has a huge amount of brushes, where I get all mine
View them by: Newest or Popular
You can search what type you want such as Abstract, Grunge, Sparkle, Tech, etc. to narrow down your search.

GameRenders.com is a great place to find new renders to use.
Search the Forum for fresh entries either by Gaming or Non-Gaming Renders.
You can also search their Gallery for some previous renders chosen to be placed in there.
