I've always sucked at drawing humans, but lately I've been wanting to improve that a bit. but somehow I can never really do it right. Body proportions off, stiff-looking, etc. Can't even get the faces right. Usually they end up looking like retards D: Or at least have a lazy eye or something like that.
Well... No more!
While doodling I accidentally discovered how to do it right! And it's really simple too D:
YOU GOTTA START WITH THE FACIAL EXPRESSION!
First you draw the facial features such as eyes, mouth and nose. THEN you add the hair, head and ears around it!
That's it. It's all in the order of drawing D:
Every time before this, I'd tried to make the shape of the head first and add the facial features in later, as most tutorials suggest. But then it becomes very hard to distribute everything properly, and the proportions end up completely wrong Q_Q
Now you just draw the shape of the head as is fitting for the face you've drawn, and it all ends up working out intuitively!

It's just a quick scribble, no real effort put into it. But it certainly looks human! Woohoo!
