My vote for this one goes to MK, the overall piece has more of a wow effect than TKs.

Ex gets my vote. His piece is the highest quality piece in my opinion. I've been having a hard time in real life and I just can't feel it. Gonna need to step my game up for next week.

Erm, now for critique for the pieces.

Ex's piece is pretty solid overall, expect for minor things. The lights on the right side are pretty distracting from the focal point, so maybe tone them down to keep the viewers attention on the focal. I like the way you created a rough feeling with the bg, but it feels a little out of place from the futuristic soldier, sorry I'm not familiar with what it is to be honest, I think more straight/clean lines somewhere in there would maybe create a more fitting bg. The piece's colours are appropriate for the theme and work well together to create a nice harmony that is eye pleasing. Very nice work, I tip my hat to you Ex. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with next week.

TK's piece is simplistic and gets to the point. Even though I am a fan of simplicity, in order for it to be effective you need to have the basics at a high level. In this piece the lighting doesn't seem natural, next time try picturing a source of light and think about how the light falls. The colour scheme is suiting of the theme, but I would like to see the overall piece dirtier so that the tag would fit the theme more. The composition is decent and the text is fitting. To sum things up, work on the basics when making something simple and try playing with light some more next time. Good effort this week, lets see what you can make next week.

Finally I'm going to critique my own piece. Where do I start with this one? It is a very vague piece and doesn't really fit the theme without using one's imagination. I like how it ventures out the box, however it is definitely not of a high standard. The composition isn't good. The cold, lifeless colours are not nice to look at, though that might fit the theme, so in this case the colours are a plus. The background is gritty and chaotic so it fits the theme well, but there is no harmony between the focal and the rest of the tag, making the focal seem out of place. There isn't a definite source of lighting and the tag seems bland overall with the lack of contrasting. The typography is out of place, which adds to mess. Overall, a very poor effort.
