render finding are pretty hard sometimes
easiest way is to search for imges in google image, and limit it to large imgs... and some are render
for anime imgs minitokyo is a good site etc...
for games... i have no idea...
for myself, i personally scan off magzines, book covers, dvd covers, game box covers, wif around 600-1200 dpi, so its really clear, but it takes a long time to extract and clean it in photoshop... then also i draw them myself too. and you can get a good videocard and jsut take screenshot in game, sometimes its really good too, like my bro turned quake4 to ultra quility, tho it laged at around 20 fps, but the screenshots were amazingly clear and beautiful

Puh .. just know what you are looking for and find an image.
Then cut it out using the proper cutting technique (differs from image to image).
Sometimes you have to "repair" parts you messed up, or add effects you had to cut out.
That's what I usually do
