Vector Style,Come Help!

Alright,so I'm trying out a New Style(for me) which is Vector.

Because this is my first try at Vector,I really have no idea. This is what I got so far,which is almost nothing . Just added that Red Line,which for some reason I love where its placed. *Update* Added a orange "curve" brush for "flow" considering the guy is looking to the left.



I'm trying to find something I can add. I tried to do those curvy arrows but its so damn hard and my Pen Tool "auto-correct" into sharp lines Any suggestion on what I can add to make a decent Vector sig.

Add a lot more lines (using the rainbow of colors on the helmet) on top and below them. Remove the text and the red line.
Starting to look good though.

How can I do curvy lines with Pen Tool without it "auto-correcting" into sharp lines?
