dA sucks!

Well some asshole today decided to report all my work on dA as being a copyright infringement. So my dA account only has my abstract work now.

So now all my good work is deleted except for 1 abstract LP.

Guess they cant call abstact work a copyright issue so thats whats left.

All you have to do is go to any piece of work and click the complaint button. And they give you a series of things that need to be filled out and after its done your work pretty much gets removed. It doesn't matter if it is or not, pretty sure its automated because I've heard that some of my friends have had this happen with some of his psds he uploaded for others to download.

Depends on what he reported you for. With sigs, you copied it all, or the render wasn't up for free use.

And there's probably more.

Think about it, DA doesn't remove artwork unless theres a good reason.

So i'm thinking, he has one to, for reporting you.

No silly, I was talking about your favorites list but yeah I get what you mean about not posting all your work here. I don't even bother posting my LP's here because I already know I'll get a shit load of comments like " that's to big to be a sig" or " that's an odd sig size".

I'm saying dA extensively checks claims like this, BEFORE removing anything. So half of dA would effectively not be gone, untill proven.

It's an art community, they take claims seriously.

Actually its pretty evident that they do not do so. As I mentioned this to a friend of mine as I mentioned earlier that trouble with this kind of stuff. He opened up PSDs to be downloaded and it got taken down for the same thing. It was a PSD, solid proof its his work.
And if what you said is true then its a flawed system. As I could easily proove any signature or banner with render or stock to be copyright infringement the same way it was done to me.
And yes, I do read before I post. Shocking.
