Just to confirm, Tome of Cold Weather Flight is actually a new heirloom item planned to go into patch 3.2. At level 80 players can buy this heirloom item from the Cold Weather Flying Trainer in Dalaran for 1,000 gold and send it to an alt of the same realm, faction and account. The tome can be used to learn Cold Weather Flying at level 68, consuming the tome in the process.

Please note this feature is not yet in the newest version of the public test realm patch notes updated today. The item and its functionality are subject to change during the testing process.

So, now it is possible. lamers.

Oh well, my warrior will like i guess.

Don't like. I don't see why alts should have so much of an easier time than people like me who will be fresh 68 and have to wait til 77? or whatever for cold weather flying.

Cause the people with the alt had mains that had to go through all that horrible stuff.

But I agree with you, they should make Cold Weather Flying a lvl 68 passive.

Because

Blizzard kept you from flying untill 77 so that you take a scenic route through northrend, seeing the zones and artwork they put into it, following story line and doing the quests

If you have a level 80, you went through all that, so no need for blizz to make you do it all again a second time

Its actually quite enjoyable. The wrath quests were far better than the outlands quests. Story line a lot more enjoyable too. I remember the first day of wrath, going to the keep borean tundra, all excited waiting on friends thinking cmon cmon cmon! lol.

The 'wrath gate' quest chains, leading up to a cool cut scene that will get your emotions fired up. Plus you get to mow down zombies with a chaingun

If you went borean and not fyord, just wait until you free the baby merlocks   zomg cute

I missed the Wrath Gate quests!! (Or it wasn't the quests in Icecrown that you meant?)
Where can they be picked up?

i play with the highest possible settings and stil do it with 40 fps xD

Image

i wont put it in image tags as its a pretty large image

and on the note of the mount changes in 3.2 some i see helping but others i dont this is useful as said before your 80 you have seen it now thats it but flying at 60 is too soon espesh for a first character who hasnt seen that area imo makes it way too easy

I've got a great vid card now, plenty ram too. Think my cpu/mobo is now the 'new' bottleneck. Dual 2.8ghz pentium 4 prescott, but wow only uses one processer.

I really need to get myself a core 2 duo and a mobo to match.
