Atm, I'm leveling my BE Mage, and I picked up Herb/Skin/FA, only problem is that I don't know what proffs to take at level 80? Any help?

I keep what I got, unless you want a profession for PvP purposes, I suggest you stick with them, they seem to be good money makers.

Trying to make some money off of this, once I'm set at 80, I'm getting Alchemy/Enchanting for end-game raiding and for buffs/mana/heal pots. Sounds good?

Count on about 10k gold to get enchanting up to 450 and only gain 2 ring enchants from it

Lol, I like how you included first aid as a profession. xD Anyone who doesn't have that is dumb. xP

Jewelcrafting is a better pve profession for the bop gems than enchanting.
Alchemy is not really a gain for pve. You can buy the flasks anyways.
Inscriptions/leatherworking/Blacksmithing are all better pve professions than alchemy. Alchemy has no specific bonus just for you, or at least insignificant ones.
Inscriptions has an imba shoulder enchant, leatherworking has imba bracer enchants and I believe blacksmithing opens up more gemslots.

Cost me about 2k to get it to 400 (and I'm getting money back selling enchant scrolls on the AH) and I'm not powerleveling it any further due to I get my ring enchants 400.

Money in JC is not made by cutting gems at this point in the game since everyone and their mom is JC. I laugh at all the JCers who whine about making little to no money cutting gems, because they're going about it the incorrect way.
JC plus LW or Enchanting is the best min/max for melee. JC+Enchanting for casters.
Alchemy is ok for PvE since you get increased effect from flasks/elixirs etc but not as good as JC or enchanting

Maybe on your server everyone and their mother is a JC. Our trade channel is constantly spammed by people looking for JCs. We have enchanters and LWs out the ass, they're always spamming for work. I think you should spend some time checking the AH to find out what people aren't selling a lot of and do that.
Why is it costing you guys so much gold to get your enchanting up? I don't know anything about it, I'm just curious.

Often times the stuff that isn't selling a lot isn't selling a lot for a reason. The stuff that IS selling a lot is what you want to be selling if you can find a way to make a reasonable profit on it.

Low level mat prices are high here, and realizing that vellums exist after re-doing all those enchants on random items 1-450 doesn't help either.. d:

been a mage enchanting/tailoring would be a good mix
although now been later in the game you may not need the gears tailoring can make so enchanting with jc/alchemy (enchanting for the bonus enchants then jewels from jc can be helpful and saves you money making your own or alchemy for potions/elixirs to increase your dps)

Enchanting/Tailoring on my mage was the bomb in BC before they killed the prices of large prismatic shards. I could turn 15g in mats into a 25g shard, it was great XD. But tailoring sucks now so yeah.
