How do YOU make it? I want to know how you personally make gold, not how your friends do ect, just you.

Im trying to get enough for Epic flyer and some mounts ect for the achievements, but i cant seem to get past the 1000-ish mark. I've been doing daily quests in wintergrasp and pretty much everywhere else i find one, and the gold isnt that great. After repairs, food ect im down to what i was before the quest reward!

So i was wondering for any tips and experience on how you personally make gold.

I was like you,was lv.80 and broke(spent my quest gold on the Brown Bear)...
The answer to my problem was...... MINING

Even if you have lv.1 Mining,spend an day or two hardcore mining to 450 , telling you its worth it,you can sell the ores and bars in AH really easy and get your epic flyer in no time

I was thinking of getting Mining and Enchanting. Not 2 that go together really, but i can sell the Mined goods on AH and also do enchants for gold, and disenchant things that i buy cheap and sell them higher as shards ect.

auction house if you prefer to basically do nothing.
Relics of Ulduar if you like to farm, or gather some mats with skinning and that shit.

I used to have herbalism but I dropped it for mining as the resources in this profession are much more profitable - at lower levels. I'm not that high yet so I'm not sure how it will go. Just did a quick comparison on AH on how much a stack of peacebloom goes compared to a stack of copper bars or copper ores and the latter is more expensive. Not a good sample size but I went with it.

I decided i am going to take Mining. I've been farming Relics of Ulduar and elemental air for several hours today and thats on the AH house for around 800g total. Plus i got 2 blue drops and my friend gave me a couple Frozen Orbs, so in total i should have about 1500g coming in, if everything sells.

Tommorow im gunna spend a few hours leveling Mining, try and get it to 300 at least.

Depending on how much RoU's are being farmed on your server ( Shadowsong overday it's quite dense there ) it would be more effecient to farm the snow caps. 350 rep per turn in .. while using a addon like gathere to spot 'treasure'. You can only farm for an hour tho ... as in an hour you get approx 5 .. and they take up to 3 hours to respawn.

Also handing them in at 80 nets you 9G .. + the rep. Or just sell them on AH as they are not soulbound.

Mining, skinning, AHing everying - I have an alt dis/ench for breaking greens.

I save all my greens from quests, herbing, raids, heroics and have them disenchanted. Big bucks. I buy frozen orbs with my heroic badges (like 20 at a time) and sell them for 80-100g a piece depending on the market (and I sell them in 2's). I sell herb stacks periodically, not often anymore. Occasionally I make flasks (Im elixir spec) and sell those, although they have hit rock bottom lately. Also, I buy the epic bracers from valor badges and sell them for about 3K a pop (I even get them enchanted, heh heh)

I took Skinning, and wow, i didnt relise how easy it was. Started about 8pm and its now 11pm and Im at 380 Grand Master. Mailed everything to an alt, included 3 greens and a blue, few hundred leather and some other stuff that has decent value.

Going to get it to 450 tommorow, and i will probably take Mining too!

My friend's leveling his shammy to 80, who's a healer and an enchanter, and we're going to farm BC instances to get long forgotten rep, coin from corpses, d/e the greens and blues, split it 50/50 and sell it on the AH.

Did it tonight with his tree; 70g for 20 minutes work while being able to pull an entire instance is damn fun.

I did that for a bit, farming rep with a friend for his Guardian of Cenarius title and tried a bit for the druid bird mount from heroic Sethekk Halls, was good money for a bit.

Probably best way for me. Questing bores the hell out of me, I love dungeon running, and I'm a fidgety little bastard that can't sit still for two minutes. (I'm one of those people who do laps of Dalaran when no one is on, you see)

Me too... I'm on my pally now doing laps of Stormwind because my mate is on my DK (2 Accounts ftw?).

Anyway, just an update; I made 700g from leveling my skinning, and last night i spent a while farming Relics of Ulduar and Crystallized Air. Made another 500g from that, but i was only there for aboout an hour.

I buy patterns, recipes, designs etc. from trade vendors throughout the game and sell them for 10-15 gold a pop. You'd be surprised how many ppl buy them That's just a supplement. I'm a miner and JC. While I'm leveling my JC, I give the shit no one will buy to my hubby (he's an enchanter). He breaks it and I either sell those mats or he makes enchants which my brother (inscription) makes scrolls for. People buy those like hot cakes.

i play the ah, i mean 1g or 1k its stil gold so recently i bought a shite load of first aid books (mageweave books etc) they sell for 10g and buy at 1g-50s each from the vendor.

Also low level enchanting makes some pocket money.

Best g iv seen recently was made from perfect cut gems at 25g each and you can get 4-5 out of a stack of 20 gems which for bloodgems cost me 25g for a full stack

also level 50-60 DE items made me nearly 500g

mining is good for selling ores, jc make 3-4 mecurial Adamantite its cheap to make dont sell too well but when it does sell thats another 300-400g in the bank if you put them up as 100g each

just look on the ah and sell anything

if the thorium market isnt too high buy 20 stacks of that and sell the gems inside (azerothian diamond, large opal, huge emerald each sell for 30g, blue saphire 20g and star rube 10-15g)

dont sound like much but do this everyday your making a killing (this is at level 68 come 80 il be able to making titanium and shit easier to make bux off that)

On my server if you are a jewelcrafter you are guaranteed to make the $$$ by prospecting ore and selling the gems.

My lock is a JC and my warrior is a BS, you can sell belt buckles on my server for about 200% profit.

Or you could run noobies threw Deadmines...people pay around 50g for a run

also what he said but thorium ore is an easy one to make g on cus on most servers the gems sell for more then the ore in total and a jc cant get beyond 300 without using atleast some of the gems

Just to update, i currently have 4921 gold! Been going slow for a couple of weeks as ive been playing on another realm, but now im so close to epic mount, i can almost taste it!

i know feels good, i got myself into a system to get the g for the mount which has stuck after i got it. every 65g (ish) send 50g to an alt 15g is more then enough for casual leveling/playing

I've got about 200g atm
However:

My stockpile for 3.1
40+ of every blue gem
~130 Greater Cosmic Essence
~250 Infinite dust


Trying to get at least 500 dust, preferably 1000 before patch, but dunno if that'll happen.

With the current going rates for this stuff, I'd make about 8k, with inflated prices post 3.1, I'm hoping to make a lot lot more.

Make sure you dont flood the market btw or you'll lower the price.

when 3.1 comes out the prices are gona go lower but thats just cus you got idiots flooding the market as you said better to wait til people start getting the good gears then put your shit in ah so that will be a few days after 3.1 maybe a week

Prices will be higher for at least a week. Cause everyone that is a player in the market will list high, profit margins will be 30%+ above what they are now.

Prices will NOT go lower, that's a certainty.

just what i think but i recon you got more ppl like you waiting for this and markets gona get flooded

The more people that are selling, the more people that are under-cutting, and that will eventually bring the price right down because everybody is trying to beat everybody elses price.
