Pre-Naxx help

Post by XemnasXD »

Ok so i hit 80(XD) and now im totally lost with what to do with myself. Some ppl are liek YOU NEED TO BE HIT CAPPED TO DO NAXX. Other ppl are like, hit capped? wth you can get that all in Naxx gear. Now im not rich, i had i like 4500g and that was going towards my epic mt and i just blew way to much money on gear and now im not even sure if i need it. So what do i do. Do i max out all my gear and get the best possible pre-naxx stuff+ gems+ enchants or should i just wait for my guild to do a Naxx run and pick up what i need when i get there...

get some tbc enchants, the top wrath enchants might be too expensive for u to invest in right now, especially when u don't have the top epics.

look on wowhead or shaman forums for ur pre-naxx gear. run all the heroics you need for gear and badges, look into badge gear, there might be some there that u can use.

generally u should be looking at 2k+ dps for naxx 10man.

being hit capped is very important for all raid dps. spell hit cap is i think 11, 13, or 16%, not too sure... =[

Unless you're doing it with a guild progressing in Naxx 10, you don't need nuts. Me and my guild been boosting people through 10 mans to gear new 80s up. But if you really need to gear up for 10 man Naxx, I suggest doing heroics, if not normal instances. Not gonna comment if you need hit capped or not, I think you do though, as a DPS. Shaman forums somewhere probably already have a pre raid set laid out already, I suggest the Wowhead Shaman subforum. And grats on 80!

Run heroes. Wear tabards for rep / rep items.

Lookin at having mostly, if not all level 80 blues for going to naxx, gemmed and enchanted appropriately.

Theres also some BoE epics available on your auction house.

BOE's you can check the AH for or have made:
http://www.wowhead.com/?items=4.3&filte ... :1;crv=0:0

Heres reputation items available, including an epic chest
http://www.wowhead.com/?items=4.3&filte ... 23;crv=0:0

Items out of instances
http://www.wowhead.com/?items=4.3&filte ... =0:0#0-2+1

Don't kill yourself getting the epics; they are nice but theres plenty of epix in naxx 10; if you wanna wear the Tabard for the epic chest while doing level 80 dungeons (or heroic dungeons) that works well; working on two things at once essentially

This site, is a strong reference when balancing your gear and looking for upgrades.

PS your heroic groups will appreciate it if your toon doesnt suck. XD I beat way to many nubs in DPS while tanking heroics. Quite sad it is.

You can get some good stuff through heroics, but I'd only advise doing heroics before naxx if your guild does not have it on farm.
If your guild has everything on farm and you can tag along, you can do naxx naked. People can clear naxx with like 6 people, as long as your guild is cool, you can just get your gear there, beats having to do heroics and whatnot.

You can try to do some wintergrasp, get all the dailies and participate in the offense so you get maximum honor. On a medium-full server, offense ALWAYS wins. This will get you like 5k honor every day and you can do vault of archavon 10 and 25 man once every week. It's free epics, literally. You can use the honor to buy off set hateful items like ring, neck, bracer etc. Takes you 15-30 minutes a day and will probably get you something decent for the time being.

No matter how crap your DPS is, join a VOA group. For 10 man I think you need like 1300 and 25 man 1600. There will be loads of players hitting 2k++ easily, so you can even do less than that (if it's even possible).
The tactics are amazingly simple, just check a youtube for it. (Basically tank and spank, don't worry about how the tank shit works, tanks do that. All you do is stay behind him and don't come near him when he has a white cloud around him. That's it.)
