Oh yeah and the community is awfull! whenever you go people calling others noob, flamming fighting over some stupid gear, cursing, telling others to l2p noob, forums sucks big time, whatever you post you get flammed badly.
after trying both guildwars and WoW.
Guildwars > WoW.
At least you don't need to play for years to be good.

Cause WoW isn't boring with the right people around you.

I think the community is great, there will always be a couple of rotten apples, buit the majority is cool.

The forums are rivers of tears indeed, but who cares, we've got teh WoW topic here.

Plus, it's nice to actually work to get really good. rewarding.

Playing for almost 6 months now and my gear is nearly equivalent to Tier 5 (well, there aren't many upgrades left until I start seeing T5 and even then some will be sidegrades). The Official WoW forums are almost as bad as the official SRO forums...almost.

Hunters don't have the best reputation in game, though. Many times it is assumed that the person playing the hunter (especially Night Elf) is a 12 year old kid. "Huntards" are the nickname.

Raiding is fun though

Feels good killing the boss for the first time and then seeing your loot drop.

WoW is no way near a balanced game.
I am more of a PvP player, Blizzard keeps nerfing hunters on the favor of rogues or warlocks,everyone agrees that warlocks/rogues are overpowered in PVP, i tried play rogues but they are so damn boring and i hate playing caster.
Guildwars community is better because everyone is the same, no matter how much you play or how much money you got there,I can be as good as you. no "NOOB!!", no go get better gear idiot.
There's the gear that worth 1,2mil "FoW armor" but it's the same as the 15k gear or the 1,5k gear.
WoW need alot of time and in the end up might just get nerfed.plus i don't have the guts to play for longtime anymore.
And geez! i am level 65 hunters still using the same damn skills as back when i was level 20, yeah i got FD at level 30 YAY! i got Volly "Arrow shower" at level 40 YAY(Damn useless skill) but it's the same boring skills. all i get is ranks. unlike in guildwars my monk has like 200 skills.
my warrior has like 300 skills they are all different my necromancer even more, and there's the elite skills you need to kill boss to get.
WoW is full with bugs!! Geez i can't remember how many times i died because something hitting me out of nowhere and i can't attack back. i can't remember the times as a hunter trying to shoot a mob keeps telling me too far, get closer 1 yard and i get too close message. or the time i got stuck in Undercity elevator, or the pet standing back near some tree not moving had to dismiss/summon back again.
Yesterday guildwars a new patch about some skills balance and coused skills template to bug it's just an option to tell others your skills faster yet, today morning got fixed. I love this.

WoW is more of a gear/time played game.
Guildwars is more of a skills/player skill game.

I like the 2nd more.

And, hunters nerfed? oh cmon, you almost never get nerfed. Hunters are still a powerfull class. Roque's actually can be killed. The only overpowered class is the warlock.

And every class has ranks, you don't need 300 skills, like u use them all -_-.

imo WoW is the more 'Complete' game.

But it's all opinions, if you like staying at lvl 20 farming weapons, then that's you're choice.

They nerfed our flare in the last patch, and they even buffed imp Sap for rogues, which means rogue now can get the starter in pvp, they can sap me through my Flare without getting visible now and wait till my flare wears off then stun lock me, i end up either dead or 10% of my HP left, and i have a "Good gear for my level" almost 7khp and 1k AP at level 65 which is pretty good.i fear rogues more than locks because fear can break on damage and such things, they count on luck more than rogues, also as a BM i can be immune to their fear for 18 sec's.

about the skills in Guildwars, it's the options! thinking about what build you want to be before you go out fighting/pvping, you have so many options, there's no 1 useless skill, all usefull in a way, hack you used to play sro, how happy you were when you got nukes? how happy you were when you got SS as a glaiver, same for me, i want something to work for, i want a goal like lets get level 70 and get a new skill, but nothing like that.
all classes/skills in guildwars are usefull in pvp and pve as long as you know how to play them, but hunters add a little to groups in PVE. so people rather to take other classes, i like my hunter and couldn't play another class, all were boring for me. our traps can get resisted so we can't count on them, sap works 100% polly for mages works 100%, our dps got nerfed , we can't heal we can't res, we don't have free food like mages, we can't buff party members we lack alot in CCing.

this shows how WoW is not balanced, Blizzard keeps trying to balance the ratio of classes and knowing that hunter is the most played class, they try to nerf it so people wont roll hunters anymore.

Guildwars is not about the leve so level 20 is nothing. it's about balance in game, assassin has no chance fighting a necromancer, necromances get their ass handed to them by rangers, rangers get raped hard by mesmers ,mesmers get screwed by interruptions rangers or assasins, warriors get screwed by assassins it's all balanced and well designed.

I just can't wait till GWs2

I asked a hunter friend, he has no problems with his flare. SO i don't know.

Sap has always been annoying, and so it remains.

Every skill is "usefull in some way" aswell. personal preference is what selects them. I as a mage have plenty of skills, and can't even fit them on my action bars.

Our polymorph isn't 100% as you said, it can get resisted.

And there still are goals. Think about mounts, 20, 30, 40 point talents, epics, blues, instances. etc.

Im getting mou mount in 2 lvls, man i can't wait.

And about the GW balance thing, Balance in it's essence would actually mean that everyone stands a chance against everyone, so that would make GW unbalanced to.

Guild wars, from the name it's not 1 vs 1 game, it's a Guild/teams wars, makes is more fun.

Hunters are supposedly the easiest class to play in WoW (I wouldn't know, I've never played one). At least you get to wear mail

I might as well fight naked for all the good cloth armor does for me. Rogues aren't terribly boring to play, I'm enjoying it on my alt. It helps playing with friends. Soloing without friends to talk to or get help on quests from blows.

EDIT: Screw anyone who bitches about how polymorph is better than [Insert Your Classes CC here]. It's still the only CC that HEALS the target to full and breaks on any amount of damage.

A friend of mine and I actually... rerolled. We're now on the Alliance at Shattered Halls. Planning to make a guild which will do all the 'old' content(AQ, MC, Naxx), but then at 70. Give Eslen a whisper, might you drop by.

We wanted a more or less new server. And Shattered Halls is still reccomended, so the progress won't be that far yet.
