Roughly 6 weeks, been struggling with my professions as well. When I realized how important it is, it was already too late to start mining Copper Ores.
Re: For Wow Players.
Impressive that you're level 80 though. Took me two months to level the first time, but yeah, skilling is tedious. My advice would just power through it all with loads of cash you get farming.

Actually, I've been having problems with acquiring gold, was actually wondering if anyone could give me some tip regarding it. I tried farming for Eternal Fire and etc. but the spots are always crowded. Is there something else that I could farm on? Or maybe even some places with tones of gold drops? Daily quests are quite a pain, and I could still do remaining quests at Icecrown and Storm Peaks but it's really slow with 60% flying mount. I'd like to get my professions up and also get myself a epic flying mount.
By the way Wu, I dinged 70 at Nagrand and never went further in Outlands, so yeah...
EDIT: Since I capped, I've just been doing Heroics and using gold on upgrading/repairing items, so I'm kinda running a lost here since Heroics barely covers the gold costs, unless you never get wiped, which is rare with pickup groups.

I make more then enough right now vendoring quest rewards (grab the plate in my case if nothing is an upgrade), and selling leathers and Frostweave on the AH. Saving all my scraps for when I eventually get around to leveling LWing past 200.

Re: For Wow Players.
Err, that might be a good trick if you're low level. But I don't advise farming gold if there's levels to be made first.
I suggest levelling whatever gathering profession you have. Mining you can sell ores.
You could also collaborate with a guildy that has JC. You farm the ores, he prospects them and makes them into gems if he can, you sell them.
In TBC skinning/LW was really profitable (skin the beasts and make the leathers) and Mining/JC also was.
However, JC requires a lot of investing and is an RNG profession. If you have a bad prospecting spree all your work can go down the drain.
But this is coming from someone who is always super poor, so do with this advise what you wanna do.
Whatever you do: inscriptions is not a moneymaker T_T

Re: For Wow Players.
skinning and then later on mining have always been my best source of income, ive also dabbed in merchanting before which cane be very profitable if you do it right.
Mining is even better now with titansteel, you dont even need to farm the eternals because you just get crap loads of them from the mining! (although, you may have to farm some fire since they are not quite as common as the others) On my realm titansteel sell for 350g-400g each, sure it has a 20 hour cooldown but thats a nice boost every 20 hours!
Ive leveled skinning to 375 3-4 times, mining to 375 3 times and then again all the way up to 450 its VERY easy. The last time to 375 took me 2 days, and not even 2 full days. I got to 450 while leveling to 80 so im not sure exactly how long it would take if you try to powerlevel it up but i doubt it would take long.
Herbalism is supposedly the best money making gathering profession (at least on my realm) but ive always found it harder to level it, ive currently got an alt in the late 200s in herbalism but i just get bored trying to get it higher
At least 1 gathering profession is a must for everyone anyway, even if its just for the buffs you get at 450
Mining - 500 health
Herbalism - Heal 2000 health over 5 seconds every 3 mins
Skinning - Increase crit rating by 25

Re: For Wow Players.
Wow, it almost seemed like I twitched the wrong button, everyone is posting about the same topic for once. No combo breaker please
By the way, I have Mining and Blacksmith as my main professions and I've been stuck at mining since I can't find any Silver veins and I can't mine anything else while Tin is gray for me already. I was told that these 2 professions will suit my class the best since Blacksmith allows me to do permanent enchantments on my gears while Mining will get me the materials and earns lots of gold. And I have to agree with the new Titansteel bar, the cost ~300G on my realm and even if I smelt it every 20 hours with materials from Auction House, it's still pretty damn good money since the materials will only cost ~150G. I can also smith some epixx
So, now the problem is I need some tips on where to mining Silver Ores, I tried Hillsbrad Foothills and Arathi Highlands (some guide recommended it) and all I could find were Gold and Iron Ores, which is still unavailable to me for now. Buying Silver Ores from Auction House to powerlevel it is very expensive and Silver Ores are extremely rare.
As for alternatives, I tried to quest a bit but rewards from Outlands and Borean Tundra has extremely low rewards while Storm Peaks and Icecrown is painfully annoying without epic flying mount. Maybe I could also farm some Frostweave Cloth at Zul'drak? They sell for a whole 1G for a piece over here and they sell like hot cakes.

This is a pretty good guide, i used it way back when i first started mining
http://www.almostgaming.com/wowguides/w ... -with-maps
You should also get the gatherer addon if you havnt yet, great for keeping track of mining locations

So that's what the AddOn is for, I thought it was just simply placing marks on minimap like the game already does.
Thanks for the guide.

Re: For Wow Players.
bah! Why does everyone undercut everyone else in the auction house! All they are doing i stopping people make money and making less money for themselves.
For example, frozen orbs, people were more than happy to pay 200g for them but everyone starts undercutting each other 5g at a time and now they are worthless even though people would still happily pay 200g for one if they needed it and couldnt be bothered to go get one themselves.
It was terrible when inscrption came out, after a couple weeks it was hard to sell any glyphs other than minor glyphs for more than 1g because there were just hundreds of people undercutting each other. Glyphs i was easily selling for 20g suddenly wont sell because there are like 200 for 50s each...

Re: For Wow Players.
I do that myself actually, simply because you can't differentiate what you're selling, like Frostweave Cloth. It's the same no matter from who you buy it, and it can be bought also at the same place, leaving price the only thing we can compete at, considering there is no need for advertisement.
I think it also happens simply because the supply overwhelms the demands since every player will just buy 6 specific glyphs and do not have to replace them that frequently. This is what happens when everyone floods the market. Also I think Frozen Orbs are pretty common for the amount you need them for, if do some Heroics.

if tin is gray your skill is well over 160 so by that point iron and gold is availible so i fail to see the problem, its only smelting goes gray fast

Smelting can still help bring it up. Anyways, thinking of redoing my druid's professions. What 2 would be best for a feral combat spec?
Engineering has novelty and comedy, but I'd rather waste that on a second or third character. Since my druid will be my primary, I want something that'll benefit it the most.
Ninja edit: Is there a way to wear chain? Bear form + chain seems like it'd be some sexy defence.

Re: For Wow Players.
I've actually gotten my mining up from 0 to 450 within the last couple of days, and I used exactly the same guide as posted above.
Until I started to wonder why I didn't get many nodes
Get yourself GatherMate, install, and then get GatherMate_Data, and then go ingame, open em both from addons list, and then ingame type /gathermate and do Import (instructions there)
You will now see ALL the nodes, every single one. This worked like a charm for me. Do NOT stay near the edges of your current place landscape, This is what every1 does, but get the mines in the middle and center of every area. I did this and noticed an insane difference.
Anyway, you can start mining cobalt in Howling Fjord/ Borean Tundra, at lvl 350 mining
Got my Jc up aswell, got quite for with just the ores I got from lvling mining up. Some will cost you quite a fair bit of cash tho since u gotta buy some stuff from the AH :>

I'd think skinning+LWing. Can make your own gear and supply most of your own mats. Mining would also be nice, for extra HP. Other then that, whatever you want.
As for chain, no need. Bear Form brings your defense up to mail levels anyway, and at Lv40 Dire Bear brings it up to match plate.

Druids imo should always have herbalism.
Reason: When you get epic flight form (and normal to), you can herb without shifting out of form, increasing speed dramatically.

Should I skip Grizzli Hills and go straight to ZulDrak?(lv.77 atm),im not sure because Im following James free leveling guides(which are awsome),but he didnt release the ZulDrak one,so if Id skip Grizzli Hills and go to ZulDrak id have a hard time with no guides, unless there a free good alliance leveling guide for ZuldRAK =/

No, Blizzard allows no editing of UIs or addons no matter how much it would benefit the game, wait, shite, I confused Joymax and Blizz again.
