I got the merciless dagger + oh for the spelldamage.

as a mage? staff gives more crit and stam, which imo is more important for a mage. Dagger + OH gives more sp dmg, less crit/stam
Overall, i'd say neither, and save the honor for wrath.

actually there were two different blue posts about the honor reset. the most recent is that it will not reset.
