He lost his irl friends due to excessive gaming.
One of the many option why people quit playing wow.

Not that I lost my rl friends... I enjoy FPS and RTS games more than MMORPGs....

I lost my appetite for MMORPGs...

I quit WoW about a year ago now. Mainly because of my exams (wanted to have at least some change to succeed ^^), and afterwards I never re-activated my account.
I don't have time to play that much during the academic year anyway, so if I play a free game, it allows me to spend more money on important things... such as... well, you know... important things.
