Hello. This is Silkroad Online.

For your enjoyment through this winter season, we have prepared a big update for Silkroad Online. Prepare yourself for the exciting new experiences to come.

Update #1: New Server
We will be opening a new server, our 16th.
New Server name: Pacific
Open date: 12/6/2006 (Revised Date)

Update #2: Takla Makan Update (Update Date: 12/19/2006)
- Level cap lifted to level 80.
- Takla Makan map opened.
- A new Unique Boss introduced; Lord Yarkhan.
- Level 60~80 Takla Makan monsters added.
- Level 60~80 Takla Makan quests added.
- 8th Degree high level Items available

Update #3: Christmas Event (Update Date: 12/19/2006)
- So-Ok's Christmas gift: a reindeer you can ride.
- A powered up version of the monster summoning scroll: Pandora's Box.

Reindeer will be fun to ride.

Anyone got pics of them or any more information?
Like is it a one time use item like the horses? or will they be like (don't kill me) the mounts in World of Warcraft where after you get it, you just have to summon it and after you dismount it goes back into your inventory?

As far as I'm concerned, this just means more lag and more bots. And an extra 30 minutes to login...

The new server opens on december 5th, the other updates haven't been given a date if you read the notice carefully. The Reindeer and Pandora's Box should come Christmas, that makes sense.

The Level Cap update is anyone's guess the key phrase is "this winter season"...

So dont get too crazy about the level cap increase yet.

i dont know im not really exited about the update... it just says the servers will be full for 2 weeks and that it'll take 2 hour to log in, what i wanna c tho is if the "Pandora's Box" will en up being just like the monster scrolls... altho i hope they dont have bugs like the last event

Sounds pretty tight but not for the lower lvls, they will die if they go there

but that is still cool... and i hate how sro keeps adding servers instead of increasing population in the servers... ppl just make new chars on the new serv. and keep playing on there originals... >.<

Edit: I posted this just before someone updated the original post above with the new dates:

Well according to the "December's Big Update Notice (Revised With Dates)" notice on Silkroad's Official Website, the new server opens tomorrow, 12/6, Takla Makan opens 12/19, and the Christmas event starts 12/19 as well.

I do look forward to the Christmas event. I'm nowhere NEAR ready to go to Takla Makan considering I'm only lvl 37.

They should make the reindeer fly (although I know that won't happen), because after all, reindeer are supposed to fly aren't they? At least Santa's reindeer do hahaha.
