Hello. This is Silkroad Online.

As we have posted before, we will be investigating alleged bot users and if it is found that they are using bots, we will be blocking bot users, like those below.

We will be continually investigating bot users and when found, we will be punishing these users.

I would bet that there is a lot that dont get caught. I wonder about names Like Y_Y, T_T, 12345B, lvl 40+ players not in guild in same area for days to weeks ( makes me wonder how many Botters are just gold grabers for the buy gold sites and how much kick back joymax gets in kick backs from them so the bots dont get booted. And where do the same people get unlimited Weapon elixers from. Are they Joymax's players at work?? tuff job...

Grr whats up with R4W he was a friend of mine lvl 18 farmign at camp when I left. He has liek 4-5 characters.. always stops at like lvl 40.

Good riddance. It's discouraging trying to SP farm and seeing the guy/girl/computer next to me doing it "automatically". I once recorded what I perceived to be a botter using a video(game) recording software called Fraps (and converting it to a more common format with Windows Movie Maker as Fraps has it's own AVI codec), but I wasn't sure where to report the infraction so I wound up deleting the video.

Joymax doesn't need gold botters. They can change the amount of gold a user/GM has just as easily as an admin on this forum can change his or someone else's post count (okay, with phpbb that involves an SQL query, but it's still simple). Why would they want a "cut" when they could just host the site themselves and either use it to make 100% of the profit or catch those who try to break the rules?

A) Something weird. Is it just me, or did the official site banlist change? Like half the players posted here, are gone from the official list. Wtf?

B) LOL @ Joymax gold farming. If they wanted to sell gold, they'd just do it through the item mall, or generate it ingame. Then people would CCF it. It would be gr-r-r-r-eat!

Theres a lot more bots in Athens, just visit the stone headess monster area whatever they called near the scoprion passage toaward the ong territory. omg theres so many boters there, everytime they get a hit, they use force to get their hp back back lol its so funny to watch.

well, the list on Athens may continue like... forever... especially on this 7 days event. 40 bots at least huntin' for scorpions, while real player "cannot connect due to server trafic"...woot?!?

Good and valued point, but I also think they are behind the Sro bot aswell, if not taking royalties for this.
The bot is to well programed to be made by someone who was not on the original team.. it can pick up only ceartin item's, sell ceartin item's, buy hp and mp pots, use horses to get to and from town. this would have taken years to make by someone who was not on the team.
and it is pay to use and made by a Korean company, and used in a game that is (free to play)!!!
Silk is not essential to it, and they manage to open these servers from funds from somewhere. I mean if they actualy invested in some server police they would not need so many servers, as they would be alot less jamed up with people. Also the threat of being caught might stop alot.
I mean you show us names of players here but how do we know they actualy exist?.
I am currently looking for a new game to play anyway, I am sick of reading on global about how n00b everyone is, when they obviously bot 24/7. also taking somtimes 20 mins to log into the server, because of the mass amount of them. they also get all the nice SoS drops, and buy them all up to then sell at riddiculus prices.
All I can say is, thank you!, Joymax for letting the little children with daddy's credit card rule, and ruin a game with good potential. but why should u care?, you a buisness and nobody does nothing for FREE!!
It is not hard to police a game this small, the pay to play do it easy and there three times the size of this game atleast. if you don't sort out this problem, all you will be left with is AI scripts when somting else comes out.

Ur right man, sro kinda sucks, too botfriendly, I'm always on the lookout for a better game, but... sro= free (and me= cheapazz)

the part about the botters doesnt make sence dough, using progs like autoit and whatnot even total morons can put together a bot, up to us adult players (non germans ) to not stoop to their lvl.

However the whole silkroad experience does make it verry inviting, the endless grinding and not being able to buy anything (good) aftherwards is a elephant-size bummer

i know I said I wouldn't post anymore, but did anyone else notice that "weapcidu" from xian was posted twice AGAIN? he was listed twice on the last bot list that came out. (think that his name was removed later though). Also, "valid_name" was also on the last list. Are they unbanning these botters or are they repeating them to make the lists bigger?
