thats funny because even if u ban the guys who make bots... who prevents them from creating other accounts and more bots, this is gonna be a never-ending fight.....

Exactly.. Only about 10% of people know how to change their IP, so this is just about the ONLY way they would end this fight. Otherwise: Ban account = Create new accounts = bots back up and running again within 24 hours.

Not that it matters, it's become pretty obvious that Joymax is reaping the benefits of the silk so they really have no reason to STOP the programs. They just throw us a bone of a list with 20 bots every month or so to keep us entertained.

And just a week ago, a GM strolled up to me while I was grinding, pm'd me some long list about how if I don't turn off my bot, I'll be banned . When I replied back "huh??" because I don't have any 3rd party programs running, I was actually sitting there hitting "131613165, 1316..."
He replied back "Ok, sorry to disturb you, we know you're legit "
In other words, they pm people grinding and if they respond: no bot, if they don't: ban hammer....

So IF you're gonna bot, just baby-sit and you'll be good to go!

Instead of banning pots, they should just resarch people who are 72-80 since 95% of these people are botters, that is if you want to shut the legits up about how unfair it is that when they (the fat ass legits who grind all day for months on end)work to get to level ubber high, this new guy can get there with a program in less time, with less effort.

I took about a year to get to 64.

So, just pm those people 72-80...or find who got to 80 a week after the update came...and you've got a bot.

But, what's the point of banning for JM if they are going to make money off these botters? I dunno, Joymax is a company, and it wants a profit, and it won't act in a way that will hurt itself since botters make up a bigger part of hte community.

Blah...back to grinding >.<

Just a thought I will probibly get flamed for. As an Idea. Offer A one week bot amnisty. IE let botters come clean with some severe penance short of banning (otherwise why would they). In turn have them turn over all bot related material for investigation. If they are helpful let them keep more. Let them turn on each other.

Sounds plausible, except....wouldn't happen. Why would a botter want to come forward? It doesn't seem like there's any risk unless someone afk bots. The only people who are banned are the ones who are continuosly on.

I think instead of banning bots and such, why not ban the people who truly ruin the game. Like.....pvpers who continuosly kill people in front of jangan, ubber high level theives who don't allow any lvl 20 trader to do a successful trade from jangan to dw, people who have full sosun sets which isn't possible for a non-gold ccf-er, people who are level 42 who are begging for money in front of jangan when they are selling sos sets a day later, people who are 80 hunting tiger girl (for the 10th time [1 is understandable]), etc. This way the legit douches as well as bots would be banned. Just a suggestion. Rather than banning bots, I dunno, I would value cleaning up the community much more. (Yesturday 3 turks from the same guild kept picking on one of my guildies, icing her so that she couldn't get into jangan safe zone, and asked me to come kill them....they were lvl 64+ picking on a lvl 30 char.........)

In my opinion, whether someone gets to a high level through a bot or legitly, it's no excuse for them to be assholes to lower level players who are 95% legit...
