Event mob from when I was on ksro. Was great because bots didn't attack them for obvious reasons...

i know... thats true... all they need to do is fix those glitches, have a software where the bots are banned and make 'channel' in each server so we can surely get in... still loads of improvement JM

I'm surprised the event times are so close together. I would've thought they'd have put them 12 hours apart so everyone around the world would have one time slot suiting them. I've got to choose between sleep or event. Just lucky I'm on holidays. :roll:

Chat block is great. Can't wait.

This Update is gonna rock!

New Client....its the best event of all...botless servers for a couple days.

Fortress Wars...already discussed about how great this is gonna be if you are a full sun bot and do not live in Korean Timezone.

Chrismas Event...can't say its complete trash like the other events since this one does come with SP along with the usual useless items. Interested in fighting mystery monsters for a change.

Devil Wing Suits....going for 130 silk each, people buying them most likely already bought Angel Wings and/or Wizard Suits which will go in storage.

Chat Filter... You probally think that this will block bot spamming in town. However, all its gonna do is force the gold sellers to buy silk for globals...which will make it so even outside of town, constant global goldselling spam.

Oh well, better then nothing....Hopefully there will be a secret "massive" bot ban also...

Remember the gold companies are a business. atm they are getting free advertising. They are spamming their advertisements every 3 seconds or so for free, all they have to pay for is electricity and internet bills.

Now if the gold selling companies decide "lets use globals to advertise" it most probably cause a loss in revenue for them. If they still want to spam their advertisements every 3 seconds it will result in 20 globals per minute. Now considering how much money that will actually cost them to do, it could be a terrible business decision.

Instead what we will see is instead of the same spam bot spamming 24/7, we will notice that every 3 hours or so a new bot may be created. This way it will cause the sro players to block the new spam bots. But even this method has its flaws. It will take mere seconds to block these bots and it would take longer to make the new bot than it does for us to block it.

Now how will the gold companies counter this? They will create names which have a variety of similar looking keys. for example IllIllIllIllI. In game this would appear as llllllllllllll. Though even this has it flaws. If they make it possible to simply click on the character and have its name automatically appear in the "type name to block" box, then it will counter this. Also pk2 edited fonts such as the one juey uses can distinguish between I's and l's which will still make it possible to block these bots.

No matter how i look at it, joymax: 1 - Goldspammers: 0

Also can anyone who use to play on ksro confirm how frequently these event mobs spawn? Also can anyone confirm how much these sp rewards are?

i agree with you...but just today, before the update, there was a guy named OoooOOOooO or something, spamming bot sell, pvl and all that shit in like 20 globals...so prolly they will get the globals.. let see what happens...
