We regret to announce that the Halloween Event and New Item mall pets, originally scheduled for 10/30/2007 has been delayed due to technical difficulties. We will put our best efforts to bring you this event as soon as we can.

Halloween Event & Item update 10/31/2007

Hello. This is Silkroad Online.

For celebration of Halloween, we have prepared a feast of an event for you.

Also, we will update some ltems relating pets.

We will try our best to provide our users with stable service.

Both of these will start on : 11/6/2007 Silkroad Standard Time.

Well i love events! It would be cool if there were 20% exp/sp and gold increase AND exchange your pumpkins for gifts from So-Ok!

Im happy just i get a exchange pumpkins for gifts from So-Ok it's way more fun then 20% exp/sp increase.

i thought events included the 20% more gold exp and sp if not oh well im still happy with smashing the shit out of mobs to get items

i wanted to ask yall 2 questions about this event since i neevr played during a event

1. does it actually last 1 week- sorry i asked but i just wanted to clarify before i get a light bulb on top of my head

2. drop rates i wanted to know is the drop rate good on the special boxes
or do we need to grind 1 hour just to get 2 boxes

i was just wondering about these 2 questions

I'm glad they're going to give us an event, and I'm hoping for a good thanksgiving and christmas event as well... but I really don't think we need the lvl 90 cap yet. That will just give 90% of the server more reason to bot and/or power level as everyone RACES to cap instead of enjoying all the finer aspects of the game.

While the rest of us are still stuck 10-40+ levels below the 80 cap... Instead of introducing the 90 cap, Ch'in Tomb caves, castle seige, etc. to the game, I think it'd be better if they would fix all of the major flaws in the game. Fully implement game guard, or implement another anti-hack system that actually works. Clean out the bots, especially gold bots and in-town spam bots, I'm sure there are other improvements (not bot related) they could do before bringing things like the 90 cap.

I'm not exactly a low lvl, but I could surely use 20k SP to get my skills back up to where they should be. I'm lvl 51 but my skills are all around lvl 32-38, except bisheon, which is 51. Light and Fire need a LOT of work...

GOLD bots earn money for gold sites and gold sites earn money for joymax. Bots are just like paying joymax cause if you dont buy silk and you bot ..then you get banned .. everything in this game that is ..and i quote "Illegal" joymax has to do with it. Gold Sites and Bot site, they all work for joymax thats why this game is free. Thats how they make their money..joymax could care less what we want.

Actually he may be right, when i posted a topic about JM supporting blackmarket on the Silkroad Official Forums it got deleted 1 minute later, weird huh? especially in comparison with the flaming JM and botting topics that never get deleted.

On topic, a +20% for haloween like for the summer festival would just be what i need since work+personnal occupations make my levelling tediously slow at this time of the year.

Maybe, but also consider that making a post on any company's website defacing their reputation (i.e., stating they are doing illegal things, or whatnot) is not something a company wants. True or not, I think any company would want to delete those kinds of posts, or at least address them.

I guess I could see it either way, but I'm not going to run around chanting about Joymax supporting bots, consipiring to sell gold, blah blah. I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt.

Besides, how much sense does it make for Joymax to allow gold companies to farm gold and sell it, just so Joymax can share some of the profit? It would make much more sense for Joymax to just generate their own gold instantly and sell it in the item mall. It would also have the benefit of not pissing off their customers who are trying to play the game despite the gold bots.

I've never seen any proof of that, all just conspiracy theories. The gold sites aren't owned by Joymax just because you and others say they are.

Besides, why would Joymax even want to own a gold site? Gold sites farm gold to sell for cash. All Joymax has to do, if they want to sell gold, is put it in their item mall. If they run low on gold and want more for the mall, just change a variable in the database. Using the Item Mall method means:

1. MUCH less administrative overhead.
2. Faster and simpler
3. Happier players because they don't have to put up with gold bots in their grind area.
4. Happier players because then they know Joymax isn't doing "shady" things, or breaking their own TOS.

That way, gold buying isn't supporting gold bots anymore, it's just purchasing another Item Mall item.

I don't see any reason for Joymax to own any gold bot company, or even work with them.

frick if JM makes it to where u can buy gold from the item mall then this game would be even gayer.... if they do that they might as well make pots fricken 5k for 1. and it would be more ridiculous with buying items cause this games eco is already ..... up

A late event is better than no event.

When JSRO got the Halloween update, they got the chat block feature and collecting 500 seeds for the premium quest yields 10k sp. It would be nice if we got the same. Unlikely to happen, though.

Unfortuantelly you are true...and A gay event is worse than a late event anyway...Jewel boxes are pretty rare and all they drop is scrolls...50% moving speed, 30% att rating and parry ratio(and both), 500hp increase <-pretty usefull onez, and 500mp increase...uh, and earth ghost masks, red, blue and black, 90% female.
