A while ago I decided I would, one day, start a fun little contest of some sort here. I love Silkroad, and I love this place and the people I've met so far. So I want to give something back to a community that has given me a lot of entertainment and fun over the last few months.
The idea I had was much different to what I'm presenting to you today- so don't be suprised if another competition crops up in the future.However, I recently aquired a video-recording program called Fraps, and a whole new world of possibilities opened up.
Thus, this is a Place-Your-Bets type competition, the aim of which will be to correctly guess who will win in a PvP duel between me and Demarthl.
The video has already been made, and rest assured there were no witnesses to the duel and the video has not been shown to anybody. With that in mind, you may place your bet by sending a PM to me on this forum, with the subject line containing "PvP Contest" or similar so I can easily pick them out and count the bets.
The first 20 people to correctly guess the winner will receive 50,000 gold straight from my warehouse. :] Winners will be notified along with everyone else when the competition comes to a close and the video is posted publically for all to see.
So, let's once again briefly go over the main points:
* Bet on who you think will WIN the duel- Moogie or Demarthl.
* Submit your bet as a PM to me with the subject line containing "PvP Contest" or similar.
* First 20 people to submit a correct guess are WINNERS.
* Nobody will know the correct answer untill the video is posted and you see it for yourselves!
* Contest will end in 7 days time and the winners will be announced when the video is posted for everyone to view.
Yup, it's open for 7 days. That means this contest will officially close on the 24th of February sometime in mid-afternoon GMT time. Hey, it's not going to be exact.
Conditions for being a winner:
* Must submit ONE bet ONLY
* Anyone submitting multiple bets from the same username (or from different usernames under the same person's control) cannot win a prize.
* Bets must be received by the time the competition closes.
* Only the first 20 people will win the prize of 50,000 gold each. Correct bets received after this number has been reached are unfortunately out of luck. Sorry! :]
Well, I think that's just about it.
Oh, and one more thing. If there's less than 20 winners, any remaining money out of the 1mil will go to our good friend Phunky. He already has 1mil of my gold, but I'm sure he won't mind getting more.
