Daily Q&A 11/8 Update (GM Impostors)

Date : 11/8/2006
inquiry : 2495

At this moment, we are not able to answer individually all the many questions that you, the users, may have however we are reading and considering, without exception, all of your opinions and questions.

In order to better fulfill this service need we will instead, post about every 1-3 days a Question and Answer notice.

This may be a small step but we hope it will be a great help and we hope that in the future you will be able to keenly feel the improvements in service planned.

***********************************11/8 Update

Q. I have been contacted by a GM outside the game but I am not sure if this person is really a GM. Can you help me?

A. GM's will NEVER initiate contact with you outside of the game. If you are contacted outside of the game by anyone with the name gm-crayon@joymax.co.kr or anything similar it is not a GM but rather someone who is trying scam you or steal your account. If you are contacted by such an individual please immediately break contact and report the address listed or any other information to the bug report section under the Customer Service tab on the official website http://www.silkroadonline.net.

Inside of the game, GM speech will always be pink and their GM title will be in brackets like this: [GM]

With the abundance of disposable e-mail and address spoofers these days, I'm suprised that people still fall for scams like this.
The main problem with democracy is that the people cannot be trusted with the power. The majority does not really know what is best for the majority. I propose a system of pulleys and levers.

^Nothing suprises me these days .....

But, yea, anyone with a tiny bit of common sense would notice that something's wrong about an e-mail like that.

Just a quick question though regarding GM impersonations. Ok we know that they will wear special blue armor, we know that they will only talk in pink. We know they have the special brackets around their names, but I was wondering......

When someone pm's you and it's in blue, does that mean if a GM pm's you it's going to be in pink? And would a GM pm you just to say hi? How many of us have had hundreds of players just Pm you and say hello? I've had it heaps.

So if a GM did pm you for whatever reason, if they do that sort of thing, would it be in blue text, like a normal pm from a normal player? I've always found it confusing.

Thanks in advance guys :)

I find it pretty annoying of the people "jokingly" saying there a GM like "Hello this is GM (Put idiotic name here)" by using global chats. It gets quite annoying.
Dear rivilient Hunters and Traders,

Just because some of our thieveing ways have been erased, doesn't mean were not dangerous anymore.
