That looks horrible and when rendered the letters will be too small -- and were not even breaking into the color variances...

The lines and harsh contrasts are drowning out your text as it is now. Try taking off the text stroke and making it a dark color, then adding a VERY subtle drop shadow.

Im desiging these based on specifications given to me (dimensions) so no choice there as these are all being embedded in our forums bbcode (or something like that im not a coder)

I am trying to get a popout effect on a signature through photoshop but I am constrained to the dimensions of the sig border. I have been able to bypass this through loading it into illustrator but I am looking for a PS specific method. Pls help! TY!

If you have a render with dull colors that you want to spice up a bit it's pretty easy in PS. Duplicate your render, Gaussian Blur it at around 3-4, then set it to Overlay and voila. It won't work with every single render you use but if yours looks a little bland and the colors look a bit flat try ...

Why not just quickmask? Then you can use greytones on the edges to get a perfect cut, already feathered. Also easy on you if you screw up.
