Re: NAS server

Oh, I see. Good call on the raid 5 setup. My dream setup would be a huge raid 5 with a hotswap. That's what we use at work on several servers. Had a drive fail and didn't even notice it as the entire system failed-over to the hotswap without even shutting down windows, it's amazing.

A solar panel? I had several old hard drives lying around and needed more storage for my new media center setup (I killed my cable). Gibber gabber Do you live in America? You have no idea why the 2nd amendment is in place. It has nothing to do with me wanting to own a gun and everything to do with allowing the people to protect themselves from the government if need be. See: American revolution. Your solution is unrealistic at b...

Re: why an elementary school..

Some of these nut jobs don't just shoot up gun free zones and some of these nut jobs carry. Now I may be wrong here but aren't movie theaters gun zones? Cause I remember a certain instant where a man shot up a theater then left.... Alive. Not in Colorado. It was a gun free theater. It is also illeg...

Re: why an elementary school..

Now I'm all for other solutions yet the only one coming from the gun advocates is take away all gun free zones. That would work if say teachers would carry but I dont see a kindergarten teacher having a FNH FNP-9 in a crossbreed supertuck. They would if they were licensed to carry it. HOLY JESUS. D...

Re: why an elementary school..

Okay here is where my problem begins with gun advocates, I know from experience that when you look down the barrel of a loaded gun you freeze and it doesn't matter if your holding a stick or an ar-15. People are emotional being and I don't want some pissed off ccw holder shooting up a Walmart on bl...

Re: why an elementary school..

You want a realistic solution? Start with the source of the problem, people. Banning this gun or that gun because it does this or looks like that will do nothing to curb the violence here. Psychological evals, education, counseling, etc might be a good start. Education as a whole in this country BLO...

Can't remember the last time I wrote code in VB, but perhaps define your flaw value as a constant instead of defining it directly in the condition and see what happens.

Re: Batman Massacre

Yea, that's an ar15, not an assault rifle. I guess you could say that. It's similar in that it fires a single shot fir each pull of the trigger (semi auto),it fires a round similar in size (and smaller than some) ordinary hunting rifles that have been legal to own since forever. It just has a slight...

Re: Batman Massacre

An AR15 is the civilian version of an M16, meaning it doesn't have selectable fire rates. AKA, it won't shoot fully auto or burst. It's simply a semi-auto rifle just like any other hunting rifle and it can be chambered in the same size as most common hunting rifles. The only difference is it can hol...

Re: Batman Massacre

TheDrop, why shouldn't people be able to own the gun you posted? It's not an assault rifle, it doesn't have selectable fire, it's just a dressed up AR 15 with nothing added to increase its rate of fire, firepower, etc. It just looks fancy... It's no more powerful than your average hunting rifle and ...
