Re: SRO-R
Which level must be reached to be useful after 6 months? But yeah, it's probably better to leave it uninstalled and wait for "Silkroad 2", whenever this comes out (2013 or so?) and hopefully with all new graphics and more balanced gameplay. Maxlevel -5. Any lower than that and you risk ge...

Re: looking for server
You cant do anything about the lag. Servers are located in south korea (at least they used to be).
Also, find another game. Silkroad is nothing but an enormous grind. Without spending $50+/month on premium items, you will realistically never catch up.

Should have stopped at 60 and focused on real content as opposed to making grinding the actual content.

Re: Current situation of Silkroad.
Amount of players left can be debated. It seems English speaking players are dwindling while other people (seemingly from Turkey, Egypt, or some other big mmo country) are taking their spots. They did say Islam was coming and it makes sense that the second world would pick up the "leftovers&qu...

Silkroad 2 - twice the level cap! Who can pass up on that? WHy not just make it so that cap is level 1000000. If it takes 6 lifetimes to get there, people will never give up right? Imagine the incentive - grind another 20 years, get an advantage! Bot companies could sell bots that "keep the gri...

Its pretty Farking sad if they can release another game with absolutely no content and have people looking forward to it.
Either way, those screens look like shit. Drop the massive amount of HDR and its just like silkroad.

You want to go back to the extreme grind? Grinding to 70 was pretty bad, but now? Grinding to 105? Come on. It will take you years. This game has no content what-so-ever. What you remember as being a good game was probably because the game was new and you had "a lot" (more grind) to look f...

I doubt they would ban the bots even with this in force. GameGuard > AhnLab, they didn't use game guard. iSRO is too much of a game for casual gamer, even serious gamers find it hard to cap. And theres no end game content. Thats the main problem. Absolutely no end game content. Yuu mean no content ...

I really like suggestions 3 and 4. But for suggestion 3 they need to make the quests a lil difficult. The only interesting part here is the word "monitoring". Clearly they are unwilling to do enough bans manually. So unless this is an automated system, nothing is gonna change.

Okay. I'll try to explain somewhat better. For example, they have a packet subject called "login". In the default message handler on their server, they wouldn't have a message subject case statement for "login", they would have the MD5 value of the string "login". To s...

Why? I'm not the one who thinks MD5 generates results based on the system's clock. How about you actually read (and comprehend) the post before you tell people to take a hike. Your suggestion will not stop anything. If the client can decode/interpret something, their bot will be able to do the same...

It could be done. The program would have access to all the information the client has access to. A trade bot could definitely make reactive decisions. Bots do this all the time when they grind. Considering the extreme number of bots, I think the goldbot companies are very motivated to write this ki...

The only way clientless bots can be stopped, is if Joymax changes all the packet subjects they use for Silkroad Online's client, then encrypt them much more than they already have. They could use a salt string and MD5 hashing to read and send the message subjects. Then weekly, they can change the s...
