2. turn shadows completely off, no computer on earth can render them without lagging, even ones with 8 series Nvidia cards Not true, I'm running a GeForce 8600 GTS Superclocked and I run the shadows on detailed just fine. But you have to realize it's not all in the graphics card that makes you lag....

Are wolves worth it? I have the cash to buy a wolf but I was just wanting to get some opinions first. Are they really that good and are they worth it? GeForce 8600 GTS Superclocked can run on totally maxed settings around 80 - 100 FPS. But you need a pretty fast processer to actually get the graphics your looking for. Mine is overclocked right now to 3.8 GhZ. So yes, there are cards that can run detailed shadows.
