Best drop I ever got was a level 24 +3 SOS blade with some blues that my monkey picked up when I was doing alchemy in town. I saw my monkey pick it up and figured it was something for the rondo pile. Best drop from a mob would probably be the level 29 +7 bracer that I got from Earth Taoists. No blue...

Have you looked at Taksi Desktop Video Recorder?
It's open source, easy to use, and very configurable.

Try setting up a Samba share on the Linux box.
It's really easy to set up, and depending on the distro you're using samba is probably already running.

Actually I was wondering why this morning sro_client.exe was asking for server rights on port 4142. Until today it's not had to have server rights to run. Maybe because of a stealth update, I dunno. But yeah, Windows Firewall is next to completely useless... people would be advised to ditch it and g...

Since a lot of bots are apparently driven by waypoints, perhaps Joymax should occasionally and randomly spawn walls or some impassable object at those points. That way all the botters will be there humping the walls like mad while real players would just walk around them. If the server detects them ...

Waste of money. And doesn't farked up the economy. It doesn't? If there's more gold on the market, prices will go up aswell.. Basic facts when it comes to inflation so, please explain. Ok. Prices go up. On both sides. Lets say you want to sell a sos 42+5 blade. Prices will ALSO go up for that. Ever...

I wish one of you level 80s out there would do the following: 1) Count all the AFK stallers in Jangan, Donwhang, and Hotan. 2) Go to all the bot grinding areas and count the bots. You know, the ones that are hitting 1k HP mobs with a 4k+ nuke... 3) Determine which number is larger and report your fi...

It's self-explanatory. As mentioned in literally HUNDREDS of threads on these forums, it means that the servers are full and cannot accept new connections. The problem is on Joymax's end. Keep trying to log in and you may or may not be able to get on. For future reference let me introduce a friend o...

Almost all MMOs have some mechanism to kick people off the servers for inactivity. It's usually a timer between keypresses, mouse clicks, or mouse movements. If those events don't happen within a set period of time, then the user gets kicked. It's amazing that SRO doesn't use this especially since ...

jyro, are you running XP with SP2? Windows Messenger Service is disabled by default with SP2. If you're getting Alerter messages you will want to disable that under Administrative Tools > Services > Messenger. Also, surely you're running behind either a software and/or hardware firewall that blocks ...

Re: Did the image verifications get harder?
I've been trying to get on for the past hour or so and got about 30 image verifications in that time and I've started to notice a pattern. They're all just about impossible to type in under 2 seconds. Some are way more skewed to an angle than I've ever seen and every single one has had at least two...
