What's the difference between the levels of frost nova?

Close to pure int, but a few points scattered into str won't hurt you, and may even help. At level 70 18 points into str will get you a 90% natural m-balance, which is already high.

I go with cold's defense... against mobs it doesn't really matter how much hp you have as long as you can take a few hits, and so cold would help more (take less damage from each monster)

Against other players... heuksal's only better if they're a nuker.

Like Sin said, I think you'd like the hybrid better. Interesting because you got more skills to play with, stronger damage-wise (not tank-wise of course), and less common.

Though in MasterWong's hybrid spear guide he says you'll need to be patient enough to get to the 40+'s before you get good.
