The only reason people get the lightning tree is for Must Piercing Force. If you don't have it then you can't call yourself a nuker... Fire does way more damage but you may as well add in the lightning nuke as well, so then imbue>fire nuke>lightning nuke, and the target is dead. If the target isn't...
