I got a heap of games running in wine - StarCraft II, Warcraft III, PWI, Fear, Vampire, etc etc.

I used to have silkroad running successfully - but alas, it stopped working now.

Running Ubuntu 10.4

Same things appear here. It fails regardless of which windows version is used in wine.

Anyone figured out a way to get it to start?

Most likely a homage to J.R.R Tolkien, rather than humor or anything else. Not uncommon to put small references to literature/film/etc that have made contribution to the produced work. Without a doubt, Tolkien's books have greatly contributed to the role playing world. Quite nice of them, I think.

Try Taksi or CamStudio - both are free. I've recorded things with both programs and they have their advantages as well as disadvantages.

I think it tries to check with Silkroad if legend 2 has been activated and fails to do so quite often.
